For distributors operating in sectors like food and beverage, inventory management has historically suffered from a disconnect between the warehouse and the road. By treating trucks as a mobile extension of the warehouse, the new feature ensures that every sale completed on a mobile device triggers an immediate update to stock levels and financial records. This shift removes the traditional reliance on batch processing or end-of-day reporting, providing a live view of business operations.
Drivers can now manage product availability and onboard new customers while in the field, bypassing the administrative bottleneck of redundant data entry. According to CEO Mariam Komeili, the development responds to a growing demand for a unified system that functions identically, whether a transaction occurs at a loading dock or a customer site. The feature is currently live, joining an existing suite of Kechie tools that includes lot tracking, serial management, and multi-location inventory oversight.
