The campaign, spearheaded by the World Waterpark Association, saw participants ranging from local community centers to major destination parks like Dollywood’s Splash Country in Tennessee, which drew a record 1,442 attendees. The initiative emphasizes a layered approach to drowning prevention, urging parents to treat formal swimming instruction as a critical survival skill.

Olympic gold medalist Simone Manuel supported the effort at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon in Florida, where over 600 children from local nonprofits received training. The event’s reach also extended into new territories, including a debut partnership with the Life Saving Association of Uganda. Through these global collaborations, organizers aim to dissolve geographic barriers to water safety, ensuring that basic aquatic competency remains a universal priority for children regardless of their location.
