EisnerAmper Absorbs Restructuring Boutique Sherwood Partners

Silicon Valley-based restructuring firm Sherwood Partners will integrate its operations into global business advisor EisnerAmper this July. Founded in 1992, Sherwood Partners built its reputation as a specialist in assignments for the benefit of creditors and complex corporate restructuring. Operating from Santa Clara, Los Angeles, and New York, the firm serves venture capital and private equity clients navigating financial volatility. By folding these niche restructuring services into EisnerAmper’s broader platform, the combined entity seeks to offer a more comprehensive suite of advisory tools for distressed companies.

Martin Pichinson, managing partner at Sherwood, noted that the merger aligns with his firm’s three-decade focus on clarity in complex financial environments. Allen Wilen, national director of EisnerAmper’s Financial Advisory Services Group, emphasized that the acquisition fills a critical need for experienced hands in receivership and intellectual property monetization. For EisnerAmper, which manages a global workforce of roughly 4,700 employees, the addition of the Sherwood team marks a strategic push to deepen its expertise in high-stakes corporate recovery.
