Founders Row Announces Women-Only Strength Studio LiftHER

Women have outgrown being an afterthought in the weight room, according to Katherine Mason. Alongside Nike Global Trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek and brand incubator Founders Row, Mason is launching LiftHER, a boutique studio concept debuting in Dallas this September, designed specifically to provide a supportive environment for female strength training.

The studio shifts away from traditional shared circuit formats, offering members a dedicated lifting rack. Classes are capped at 14 participants to ensure personalized instruction, while the facility also provides OpenRack sessions for independent training. To move beyond aesthetic-focused fitness, the model integrates complimentary DEXA scans, allowing members to track physiological progress through data-driven body composition assessments.

The venture stems from a collaboration between Mason, founder of SculptHouse, and Jamie Weeks, who previously scaled Orangetheory Fitness and SweatHouz. Data supports the timing of the launch: while weight training is currently the fastest-growing activity among women, nearly three-quarters of U.S. women still fail to meet federal strength-training guidelines. By providing a hospitality-driven space free from the intimidation often found in conventional gyms, the founders aim to capture this untapped demographic. Following the Dallas debut, the company plans an aggressive expansion across the Southeast, including a dual-studio model with SculptHouse slated for Atlanta in early 2027.
