The 2026 cohort includes 44 recipients of $2,000 higher education grants, alongside four specialty legacy awards. Recipients are pursuing diverse paths ranging from traditional university degrees and community college programs to vocational training and technical certifications. The foundation selected this year’s group from a pool of more than 200 applicants based on academic performance, leadership potential, and community involvement.

Dr. David Tuyo II, CEO and President of Peak Credit Union, emphasized that these awards serve as a direct investment in the region's future workforce, including emerging educators, healthcare providers, and entrepreneurs. Beyond this annual scholarship cycle, the foundation continues to fund classroom grants, financial literacy programs, and school lunch debt relief. This ongoing commitment stems from the combined philanthropic legacies of TwinStar Credit Union and Northwest Community Credit Union, which merged to form the current 250,000-member organization.
