Deutser Launches Specialized Sports Consultancy Division

Talent wins games, but conditions win seasons. With this philosophy, Houston-based consultancy Deutser has launched a dedicated sports division to overhaul the internal infrastructure of professional and collegiate teams. Led by former Spurs Sports executive Dr. Kara Allen, the firm aims to apply industrial performance science to elite athletics.

The new practice, Deutser Sports, formalizes years of consulting work with major organizations including the NFL’s Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, as well as collegiate programs like Southern Methodist University. By leveraging a multidisciplinary team of organizational psychologists, PhDs, and former coaches, the firm targets six core areas of operations, ranging from commercial architecture and leadership activation to environmental design and cultural redesign.

Founder and CEO Brad Deutser emphasized that the firm’s methodology is designed to bridge the razor-thin margin between winning and losing. Beyond standard management consulting, the division includes a specific practice dedicated to the distinct operational demands of women’s sports. To expand its reach, the consultancy has secured an exclusive partnership with Excel Sports Management, acting as the primary performance and design arm for the agency’s search and advisory operations. The firm is currently moving to integrate these data-driven strategies across global sports entities, athletic departments, and ownership groups.
