Pave America Scales Southeast Operations with Bennett Paving Acquisition

Pave America has acquired Bennett Paving, Inc., a long-standing asphalt contractor with a dual footprint in South Carolina’s Greenville-Spartanburg and Hilton Head-Lowcountry markets. The deal deepens Pave America’s regional presence, integrating a firm that has managed construction and maintenance for municipal and commercial clients since 1978.

The acquisition aligns Bennett Paving’s established local reputation with the broader resources of Pave America, which is backed by institutional investors including AEA Investors and the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. Bennett Paving presidents Jerry Porter and David Glenn will continue to guide the firm, maintaining the service standards that have defined their operations for nearly five decades.

For Pave America, the move serves as a strategic bridge into the rapidly growing Carolinas market. CEO Tom York noted that the target’s unique split between the Upstate and Lowcountry regions creates a distinct competitive advantage. The transaction, which includes a comprehensive suite of services ranging from milling to striping, positions the company to capture further industrial and municipal contracts across the Southeast.
