The organization, which has provided support for mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities since 1958, developed the new brand as part of a 2024 strategic plan. Designed by Kelso Communications, the update centers on the new tagline, "Your progress. Our purpose." This shift aims to emphasize patient-centered wellness, acknowledging the challenges inherent in recovery and long-term care.
CEO Dr. Peggy Terhune, who has led the organization since 1995, noted that the change honors the group's origins. Monarch began as an advocacy effort by parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities seeking equal educational opportunities. President Blake Martin added that the new branding reflects a commitment to sustainable growth and the core values of integrity, compassion, and respect that have defined the provider throughout its history.
