The exhibition transforms the museum’s Level 2 Collection Gallery into a chronological narrative of American mobility. Visitors will find a curated selection of automobiles and motorcycles sourced from both the museum's permanent collection and private lenders. Beyond the machinery itself, the display examines the craftsmanship and design philosophies that connected isolated communities and powered the country’s growth throughout the 20th century.
Bruce Patton, Vice President of Curation and Education, frames the installation as a reflection of the American experience. He notes that the history of the nation is inextricably linked to the history of its mobility, highlighting the people and ideas that drove the country forward. The showcase serves as a cornerstone of the museum's broader mission to preserve automotive heritage while providing a historical context for how these vehicles shaped the daily lives of citizens. Tickets and scheduling details are currently available through the museum's official website.
