Frontier Airlines and Barclays Renew Two-Decade Credit Card Partnership

The extension secures a strategic alliance that has become central to Frontier’s efforts to incentivize repeat business. By linking everyday spending to the Frontier Miles program, the partnership provides cardholders with travel-specific perks, such as companion offers and elite-tier benefits, designed to complement the carrier’s low-fare model.

Beyond standard credit card functions, the renewed agreement allows Barclays to introduce its personal loan and savings products to the airline’s customer base. Bobby Schroeter, Chief Commercial Officer at Frontier, noted that the card remains a pillar of their loyalty strategy, providing the necessary infrastructure to roll out future benefit enhancements. Doug Villone, who leads Barclays’ US cards division, cited the longevity of the partnership as a testament to its performance in a competitive travel market.
