Hoffman & Hoffman Targets Gulf Coast with Aeromechanical Acquisition

Greensboro-based HVAC representative Hoffman & Hoffman has crossed into Florida for the first time, acquiring Gulf Breeze’s Aeromechanical, LLC. The move signals a strategic push into the Gulf Coast market, aiming to pair the North Carolina firm’s 80-year operational history with Aeromechanical’s deep regional expertise in specialized air distribution.

The integration leaves Aeromechanical’s existing leadership team intact at their current Gulf Breeze headquarters, ensuring continuity for contractors and engineers who rely on the firm’s regional technical knowledge. By folding the Florida provider into its broader Southeastern network, Hoffman & Hoffman gains a critical foothold in a high-demand climate zone while maintaining the localized service model that defined Aeromechanical’s market reputation.

Brian Carstens, president of Aeromechanical, and Jim Mangini, president of Hoffman & Hoffman, emphasized that the merger focuses on scaling resources rather than restructuring personnel. The partnership allows the combined entity to leverage a wider catalog of HVAC solutions and engineering support. For the employee-owned Hoffman & Hoffman, which has operated since 1947, the acquisition serves as a growth engine designed to enhance client value through increased technical capacity and a more robust supply chain across the Gulf Coast.
