The tournament will utilize four of the city's premier venues: Barys Arena, Beeline Arena, the Athletics Sports Complex Qazaqstan, and the Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace. The competition format forces participants to demonstrate prowess in both digital gaming and physical sports. In Phygital Football, teams compete in the UFL video game before transitioning to a real-world 5-a-side pitch, while Phygital Basketball merges 3on3 FreeStyle with a high-intensity 2v2 court contest. Notable participants include historic clubs such as Peñarol, Boca Juniors, and Valencia Basket, alongside esports heavyweights like Team Vitality and LGD Gaming.
Esports titles anchor the digital side of the event, with Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and PUBG: Battlegrounds serving as primary draws. The fighting game category will feature FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, published by SNK, with a US$500,000 prize purse. John Hewitt, International Marketing & Communications Director at Phygital International, described the event as a synthesis of traditional sporting institutions and modern gaming innovation. Following the confirmation of the roster, organizers have scheduled the official draw ceremony for July 7 to establish the tournament brackets.
