Harris brings over two decades of experience to the role, having built her career through tenures at John Deere and Conagra Brands before her long-standing focus on the railroad industry. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, complemented by executive training from the Michigan Ross School of Business.
Shaun Johnson, the company’s executive vice president and chief legal and administrative officer, highlighted Harris’s background in enterprise transformation and workforce engagement as key assets. Her mandate includes overseeing succession planning, compensation, and the broader organizational design for the Michigan-based energy provider, which operates primarily through its subsidiary, Consumers Energy.
