AdvoCap Insurance Launches Coverage for Litigation Expenses

Plaintiff law firms operating on contingent-fee models face a persistent financial hurdle: the high cost of advancing litigation without guaranteed recovery. To mitigate this exposure, Nashville-based AdvoCap Insurance has introduced a specialized insurance program designed to protect firms against the loss of case-related investments.

The new Case Expense Insurance Program covers essential litigation outlays, including expert witness fees, medical record retrieval, and deposition costs. By shifting the financial risk of unsuccessful litigation away from the firm, the product aims to improve balance sheet predictability and allow attorneys to pursue meritorious claims without the constraint of potential capital loss.

"Plaintiff firms routinely make significant financial commitments before seeing any return," said Donna Jones, President of Advocate Capital and AdvoCap Insurance. "This program provides an additional layer of protection that can help firms grow strategically, manage uncertainty, and continue investing in the cases that matter most to their clients."

Beyond risk mitigation, the program is intended to assist firms with cash flow planning and capital efficiency. Qualified law firms across the United States can now access the coverage directly through AdvoCap Insurance, a subsidiary of the financial services provider Advocate Capital, Inc.
