AMD Boosts Compensation Packages for Top Leadership

A regulatory filing reveals that Advanced Micro Devices is raising base salaries and granting substantial equity awards to its core executive team. Chief Executive Lisa Su leads the compensation shift, securing a base pay increase alongside a multi-million dollar stock package designed to incentivize long-term performance.

Su’s annual base salary will climb to nearly $1.38 million, an increase from her previous $1.32 million. Beyond the cash adjustment, she is slated to receive $36 million in equity awards, split between performance-based and time-based restricted stock units.

Other key executives are seeing similar adjustments. Chief Financial Officer Jean Hu will see her base salary rise to $850,000, bolstered by a $9 million equity grant. Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster moves to a $900,000 base salary with a $10 million equity award. Like the CEO’s package, these payouts for Hu and Papermaster are structured through a combination of performance and time-vesting stock units, reflecting the company's strategy to align executive retention with long-term shareholder interests.
