CALB Debuts High-Capacity ZHIJIU Storage Systems in Frankfurt

At Intersolar Europe 2026, CALB unveiled its ZHIJIU energy storage line, targeting the continent's rapid shift to renewables with a portfolio that emphasizes extreme cycle longevity. The company focused on reducing the Levelized Cost of Storage through new, high-capacity cells and standardized liquid-cooling infrastructure designed for utility and industrial deployment.

For utility-scale operations, the company introduced a 661Ah stacked cell featuring third-generation stacking and lithium replenishment. This technology promises 15,000 cycles with zero degradation for the first three years, totaling a 25-year calendar lifespan. Alongside this, a 588Ah long-cycle cell rounds out the heavy-duty offerings, aiming to improve long-term project returns.

Hardware improvements center on the second-generation 6.25MWh liquid-cooling container, which boosts energy capacity by 25% while trimming total component count by 40%. The company also showcased a 6.9MWh 20ft unit and a 10MWh+ modular system to streamline installation. For the commercial and industrial sector, new 261kWh and 418kWh cabinets incorporate active fire protection and ventilation, providing a flexible solution for smaller-scale energy infrastructure that requires strict safety compliance and simplified maintenance.
