Simplilearn Unveils AI-Driven SkillUp Platform

Navigating a saturated landscape of online education, Plano-based Simplilearn is launching SkillUp, an AI-first learning library designed to bridge the global skills gap. By integrating a proprietary AI mentor named Alby, the platform aims to transform static course catalogs into personalized, interactive journeys for both individual professionals and enterprise teams.

At the core of the new system, Alby functions as a digital companion that manages over 1,000 courses across high-demand sectors such as Generative AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The AI assistant provides tailored learning paths, project support, and interview preparation, moving beyond the traditional model of passive video consumption. Simplilearn developed this library in collaboration with industry giants including Google, Microsoft, AWS, and Databricks to ensure the curriculum aligns with current market requirements.

The platform bifurcates its offering to serve different user segments. Individual learners gain access to a selection of free courses and verifiable credentials, while enterprise clients utilize SkillUp+ to deploy scalable training programs. This version includes administrative oversight, performance reporting, and seamless integration with existing corporate learning management stacks. Co-founder and COO Kashyap Dalal stated that the shift represents a deliberate move toward a fully AI-first ecosystem, leveraging a user base that has already completed 1.5 million certifications. By centralizing these resources, Simplilearn intends to provide a unified environment that adapts to the specific career trajectories of its 6 million existing learners.
