Kratos Defense Shares Climb on $36 Million Missile System Contract

A fresh $36 million sole-source contract for a classified air-defense missile system sent Kratos Defense & Security Solutions shares up 5% on Thursday. Trading at $55.64, the company confirmed the deal remains shrouded in secrecy, with the client and technical specifics withheld due to security and competitive concerns.

The company plans to execute the project within its secure manufacturing facilities. While leadership declined to name the customer, they pointed toward a broader surge in global demand for their hardware. To meet this uptick in requirements from both domestic and international markets, Kratos has spent the last several years aggressively expanding its production capacity.
