Showings Realty Challenges Brokerage Fees with New Model

Atlanta-based Showings Realty is launching a real estate platform that eliminates listing agents and commissions, aiming to capitalize on Independence Day weekend to highlight a shift in property sales. Founder Aaron Mighty positions the model as a move toward seller autonomy, bypassing traditional cost structures to prioritize buyer exposure.

The brokerage operates on a premise that high listing commissions are an outdated requirement for market visibility. By removing the listing-side agent, the company intends to help homeowners retain more equity while maintaining high traffic through buyer showings. This entry into the market arrives during a peak summer shopping season, targeting sellers who are increasingly sensitive to transaction costs and looking for alternatives to standard brokerage agreements.

"For too long, many homeowners have assumed that paying a listing commission was just part of the deal," said Aaron Mighty. The firm is currently active in select markets, focusing on a leaner approach that trades traditional agent representation for a centralized strategy centered on visibility. While the real estate industry remains dominated by conventional commission models, Showings Realty is betting that a zero-fee structure will attract price-conscious sellers looking for a more direct path to a sale.
