Con Edison Appoints Tali Farhadian to Board of Directors

Tali Farhadian, a veteran attorney and civic leader, has joined the Board of Directors at Consolidated Edison. Her appointment to the New York-based energy utility took effect on July 1, 2026, marking a new shift in the company's oversight as it manages regional electric, gas, and steam infrastructure.

Farhadian brings a diverse legal background to the board, having served as a former prosecutor and an official in the Office of the U.S. Attorney General. Her career includes clerkships for Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and Judge Merrick Garland, alongside extensive experience in private practice and academia at institutions including NYU and Columbia Law School. Beyond her legal work, she maintains a significant presence in New York’s civic life, currently serving as a Trustee for the New York Public Library. She is slated to become the Chief Executive Officer of the Museum of Jewish Heritage this September. A Rhodes Scholar, Farhadian holds degrees from Yale and Oxford University. Her addition to the board coincides with Con Edison’s ongoing operations across New York City and Westchester County, where the holding company oversees critical utility services for millions of residents.
