Orvana Minerals Reports High-Grade Intercepts at Taguas Project

A 1.25-metre core sample from Orvana Minerals’ Taguas project in Argentina has returned 9.19 g/t gold and 5.55% copper, providing fresh evidence that the company’s deep drilling campaign is successfully closing in on a potential porphyry-style mineralized core.

The latest results from drill hole TADD-279, which reached a depth of 842 metres, confirm the vertical continuity of a high-sulfidation epithermal system. According to Raúl Álvarez, Director of Exploration and Technical Services, the presence of sericitic alteration at these depths suggests the hydrothermal activity is rooted in a larger, deeper source. The company has concluded its 2,173.7-metre 2026 program for the winter season and is now shifting focus toward integrating historical datasets and petrographic studies to refine targets for the next phase of exploration.

Beyond the Argentine assets, Orvana is actively managing its European operations. At the El Valle–Boinás mine in Spain, the company completed 3,712 metres of drilling during the third quarter of fiscal 2026. These efforts target the Breccia East and Area 208 zones, aiming to upgrade inferred resources to the indicated category. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the firm plans to expand its infill and brownfield drilling at the Carlés Mine, specifically focusing on the Northwest Carlés Skarn body.
