CU SoCal Secures Third Consecutive Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award

For the third year running, Credit Union of Southern California has secured the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, cementing its position among the world’s top 78 organizations. The Anaheim Hills-based firm stands as one of only five credit unions globally to earn the distinction for its 2026 workplace culture.

The accolade recognizes institutions that maintain elite levels of employee engagement, a metric Gallup evaluates through a rigorous analysis of leadership, staff wellbeing, and internal communication. To qualify, organizations must rank in the top percentile of global engagement scores before submitting extensive evidence of their cultural practices to a panel of experts.

Dave Gunderson, President and CEO of CU SoCal, attributed the consistent success to the organization’s investment in its workforce. Recent initiatives include a discretionary bonus program tailored to assist non-management staff with rising living costs, specifically structured to provide larger payments to those with lower compensation levels. Founded in 1954, the cooperative currently manages over $4 billion in assets and serves more than 187,000 members, maintaining a five-star rating from BauerFinancial.
