Wagga Trucks Expands Dealership Network into Canberra Region

Beginning July 20, 2026, the family-owned Wagga Trucks will extend its operations into Canberra, the Southern Highlands, and the South Coast. The expansion marks a significant shift for the dealership, which has served the Riverina region since 1997, as it brings its authorized sales and service support to new territories.

The new facility, located in Queanbeyan, provides local operators direct access to Volvo, UD, and Mack trucks, alongside Freighter Group trailers. Ben Yates, an industry veteran with over two decades of experience, will manage the site, overseeing workshop servicing and parts distribution. He will coordinate with Wagga Trucks owners Matt and Naomi Shaw and General Manager Olivia Murray to maintain the company’s established service standards.

Volvo Group Australia President and CEO Martin Merrick noted that this transition secures long-term support for local customers. The move complements the company’s primary hub in Wagga Wagga, which continues to operate as an authorized dealer for Hino in addition to the group’s core truck and trailer brands. By anchoring its presence in Queanbeyan, the firm aims to replicate its proven track record of fleet maintenance and reliable customer relationships across the broader ACT and surrounding regions.
