Har-Even brings eight years of experience from the helm of Rafael, where he oversaw the development of high-stakes military assets including the Iron Dome and Trophy active protection systems. His transition to the board follows a decorated career in the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as head of the Operations Directorate. Innoviz CEO Omer Keilaf noted that the appointment provides the company with a rare level of insight into the requirements of international security customers.
The appointment coincides with a shift in the board's composition. James Sheridan, a director appointed by Perception Capital Partners in 2021, resigned on July 3, 2026. His departure follows the expiration of Perception’s appointment rights earlier this year. With Har-Even’s arrival, Innoviz aims to leverage his background in autonomous systems to convert its high-performance sensing technology into a standard tool for defense organizations worldwide.
