The company’s presence at the June 22-25 event centered on a 13-minute presentation by CEO Kevin Kwon, who highlighted a robust portfolio including the OVM-200 anti-cancer candidate and a proprietary nucleic acid stabilization platform. OVM-200, developed by UK-based associate Oxford VacMedix, saw renewed momentum following positive Phase 1 clinical data presented earlier this year at the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Alongside oncology efforts, the company generated buzz for its oral obesity drug candidate, described as the world’s first irreversible GLP-1 receptor agonist. This unique mechanism of action served as a primary draw for potential partners, resulting in multiple follow-up sessions. According to Kwon, the company is now shifting its focus from initial engagement to securing definitive licensing agreements, marking a pivotal transition in its international development strategy.
