The company showcased its latest clinical progress at the SOBRICE Onco 2026 congress, highlighting the technology’s application in treating breast, lung, kidney, and musculoskeletal tumors. IceCure CEO Eyal Shamir noted that the FDA approval has acted as a significant catalyst, heightening awareness among Brazilian clinicians and institutions regarding the system's efficacy.
Clinical adoption is currently supported by high-profile medical experts, including Dr. José Hugo Luz of the Instituto Nacional De Câncer and Dr. Vanessa Sanvido of HCor Hospital. To further validate the technology, Dr. Sanvido is leading a 750-patient study in Brazil, while Dr. Toulsie Ramtohul of France’s Institut Curie is spearheading a separate 900-patient trial. These researchers presented their findings and conducted master classes at the Albert Einstein hospital in São Paulo, marking a strategic push to integrate cryoablation into the national standard of care through partnerships with local distributor KTR Medical.
