Insight Global Plans Massive Hiring Spree to Fuel AI Infrastructure

Defying a broader industry trend of workforce contraction, Atlanta-based Insight Global announced plans to add 1,700 full-time employees in 2026. The firm is aggressively scaling its consulting and technical delivery arms to address a 136% surge in demand for artificial intelligence implementation expertise.

CEO Bert Bean characterizes the push as a necessary response to the practical realities of digital transformation, arguing that successful AI adoption requires human expertise rather than relying solely on automated tools. The expansion targets multiple disciplines, including engineering, sales, and recruiting, to sustain the company's recent momentum. This growth strategy is anchored by the launch of IG Labs and the Solutions Associates Program, both designed to create a pipeline of specialized talent capable of managing complex enterprise infrastructure projects.

While competitors pull back on headcount, Insight Global reports an overall 15% year-over-year increase in service demand. Cillian Maher, president of the company’s consulting division, noted that access to skilled implementers remains the primary bottleneck for clients attempting to integrate AI. By positioning itself as a central provider of both technical talent and AI-driven solutions, the firm aims to capture a larger share of the market while others remain in a period of recalibration.
