Royal brings extensive experience in private markets and institutional platform development to her new role. She will work directly with founder and CEO Alex Davis to manage the firm’s financial functions and support its growing investor network. The transition also sees Phillip Caputo, previously a Partner at the firm, moving into the role of Managing Director of Finance to collaborate with Royal on the company's next growth phase.

Davis emphasized that Royal’s background in high-level financial oversight at one of the world's leading alternative investment firms makes her a vital addition to the team. Before her long tenure at Oaktree, where she helped manage more than $36 billion in assets, Royal began her career as an auditor at Deloitte. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pepperdine University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Disruptive, established in 2012, focuses on late-stage private technology companies, maintaining a portfolio that spans artificial intelligence, defense technology, and enterprise software.
