Founded in 2011, DCM BioServices maintains more than 3,000 instruments across 200 laboratories nationwide. The company specializes in field service for major platforms, including systems from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Agilent, and Hamilton. By integrating these technical support offerings, Surplus Solutions aims to provide a comprehensive partner for biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms looking to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.

Dave May, founder of DCM BioServices, noted that the move allows his team to scale their service infrastructure under the Surplus Solutions umbrella. Joe Reale, CEO of Surplus Solutions, described the acquisition as a central component of the firm's strategy to build a world-class lifecycle management platform. NMS Capital partner David Peterson highlighted that preventive maintenance contracts offer a recurring revenue stream that complements the existing business model. Legal counsel for the transaction was provided by McDermott Will & Schulte for the buyers and Drew Murphy Law for the sellers, with financing arranged by TPG Twin Brook Capital Partners.
