The appointments include Kate Brunelle as chief credit officer, Ryan Smith as executive vice president of commercial banking, and Barbara Raths as executive vice president of treasury management and government banking. CEO Simon Griffiths stated that the collective experience of these leaders will allow the bank to provide more responsive guidance to clients navigating complex financial landscapes.

Brunelle arrives from TD Bank, bringing two decades of experience in credit risk and complex restructuring, a background intended to bolster the bank’s disciplined approach to commercial lending. Smith, a veteran of the organization since 2012, pivots from his previous role as chief credit officer to lead the commercial banking division, emphasizing a strategy of steady growth. Raths, who joined the bank in 2019, will continue to drive treasury and government banking strategies, leveraging her previous tenure as deputy state treasurer for Maine to serve the bank's public-sector and nonprofit clients.
