Fred Karlinsky Tapped as Leadership Florida Chair-Elect

Fred E. Karlinsky, who leads the Global Insurance Regulatory & Transactions Practice at Greenberg Traurig, was elected chair-elect of Leadership Florida at the organization’s annual meeting in Orlando. He will spend one year in this position before transitioning to a one-year term as board chair in June 2027.

A veteran shareholder with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, and Washington, D.C., Karlinsky brings over three decades of experience in insurance regulation and corporate law to the nonprofit. He previously served on the organization's executive committee and as audit chair, drawing from his background as a Cornerstone Class 36 Lifetime Member. Beyond his legal practice, Karlinsky maintains a deep involvement in state institutions, including his tenure as an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law and his recent leadership of the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission.

His commitment to public service extends to the arts and education, notably helping secure $6.7 million in state funding for the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center. Karlinsky currently serves as president of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society. In a recent appearance on The Leadership Exchange podcast, he emphasized the necessity of leadership adaptability in the face of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and the value of maintaining accessibility in client relations.
