Each recipient receives a 25,000 euro cash prize and enters a six-month accelerator program operated alongside the Impact Hub Network. Chitkala Kalidas, Executive Director of the Bayer Foundation, noted the organization's focus on accelerating the journey to scale by bridging the gap between innovative local solutions and necessary capital. Previous cohorts demonstrate the efficacy of this model: the 30 winners from 2024 and 2025 reached 5.4 million people with improved healthcare services, sequestered 6.2 million tonnes of CO2, and generated 8.2 million dollars in additional income for rural communities. By providing non-dilutive funding and mentorship, the program aims to dismantle the gender-based barriers that BCG reports currently suppress global GDP by trillions of dollars.
