The update brings a significant shift to the FrameworX suite by embedding AI directly into both the engineering designer and runtime environments. Utilizing 18 native Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, the software allows users to generate tags, alarms, and scripts from natural language descriptions. This capability aims to compress weeks of configuration into single sessions. For operational teams, the new AI Chat feature provides real-time access to process data, active alarms, and historical records, with the platform optimized for Anthropic Claude while remaining compatible with other MCP-supported models.
Security remains a priority for the Houston-based company, as the Local AI service runs entirely on the customer’s SCADA server, eliminating cloud dependencies. Beyond AI, the release introduces a robust industrial ontology layer compliant with ISA-88, ISA-95, and OPC-UA standards. By incorporating RDF/OWL import and export, FrameworX now links directly to external knowledge graphs, allowing operators to visualize asset hierarchies through the new TKnowledgeGraph control. Additional technical upgrades include support for MongoDB and QuestDB, OIDC/OAuth2 authentication, and a transition to .NET 10 LTS. The update is available immediately as a free upgrade for existing 10.x users.
