Bartlett’s move to the firm follows a decade-long career spanning the U.S. House of Representatives, the private sector, and the federal government. His expertise covers semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and supply chain regulation—areas currently experiencing significant shifts in federal oversight. At the Bureau of Industry and Security, he managed policy and operations for dual-use technology trade, providing him with a nuanced perspective on how executive action and congressional mandates shape industrial base policies.
Ernest LaMont Greer, co-president of Greenberg Traurig, described the hire as part of a broader strategy to bolster the firm’s regulatory and policy capabilities. Bartlett’s arrival is the latest in a series of aggressive expansions for the D.C. office, which has added over 20 senior professionals since early 2025. This influx includes specialists in sectors ranging from gaming and financial regulation to energy and space policy. For his part, Bartlett noted that the firm’s global footprint was a primary draw, as he looks to help technology companies navigate the ongoing reordering of international trade. It should be noted that Bartlett is not admitted to the practice of law.
