Curators from the China National Silk Museum, Huzhou Museum, and Turpan Museum selected pieces that range from replicas of prehistoric Qianshanyang fabrics to contemporary designs. Notably, nine textiles unearthed from the Astana Tombs anchor the display, highlighting the historical interconnectedness of the Silk Road.

Beyond static displays, the gallery emphasizes interactive engagement through an opening-day salon. Visitors participated in traditional techniques like hand loom weaving and gold-leaf fan making, with motifs centered on the equestrian heritage shared by both nations during the Chinese Year of the Horse. This debut signals the beginning of a multi-year collaborative project, following a 2025 agreement that aims to foster sustained artistic exchange between China and Kazakhstan.
