The leadership changes aim to maintain momentum in the company’s drug-discovery pipeline. In his new capacity, Car will focus on external scientific initiatives, specifically managing assets tied to the company’s ongoing collaboration with New Haven-based techbio firm Bexorg, Inc. This partnership, which began in June 2025, utilizes a whole-brain discovery platform to advance therapies for central nervous system disorders.

Simultaneously, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer Warren Volles has been designated an executive officer, formalizing his role in the company’s strategic leadership. CEO Vlad Coric credited Car with building the firm’s scientific foundation while expressing confidence that Pirman’s promotion will ensure continued innovation across the current portfolio of candidates. Car, who cited full confidence in the existing research platforms, will remain an executive officer during his transition.
