Steel steps into the role with extensive institutional experience, having served as the company’s chief commercial officer since 2015. His new mandate involves direct oversight of 16,000 employees and a demanding schedule of 2,600 daily departures, alongside the management of key agreements with four major airline partners. He originally joined the organization in 2007 and previously held the position of vice president and controller.
The transition also involves a shift in the commercial division, where Bryce Bailey assumes the role of vice president of commercial contracts. Bailey, a member of the team since 2011, moves into the position after serving as managing director of planning since 2021.
