Broco Energy Secures Three-Year Heating Oil Contract with Boston

The City of Boston has appointed Broco Energy as its official heating oil provider, tasking the Massachusetts-based company with maintaining fuel supplies for public facilities. The three-year agreement, which took effect July 1, 2026, marks a significant expansion of the firm’s municipal service portfolio across New England.

This partnership highlights the city’s reliance on a provider capable of navigating the logistical demands of large-scale public infrastructure. For Broco Energy, the contract serves as a testament to its operational footprint, which includes managing the largest rail-served biodiesel terminal in the Northeast. Company president Robert Brown emphasized that the selection reflects the trust built through consistent, year-round fuel delivery performance.

Founded in 2007 by U.S. Navy veteran and retired fire captain Robert Brown, the company has increasingly positioned itself as a specialist in government and critical infrastructure support. Beyond standard heating oil supply, the firm previously facilitated Massport’s transition to renewable diesel and maintains a 24/7 emergency response team for disaster-related fueling. This latest municipal contract reinforces the company’s focus on long-term partnerships with public agencies that require uninterrupted energy services to sustain community operations.
