Master distiller Sixto Garcia oversees the production of this latest release, which is bottled at 40% ABV. The spirit presents an initial profile of bright agave and vanilla, transitioning into notes of toasted oak and dried fruit with a tannin-forward finish. According to Compoveda founder and CEO Keith Antoon, the goal was to craft a product that appeals specifically to wine and bourbon enthusiasts who might otherwise overlook the tequila category.
This launch arrives as the demand for premium, craft-distilled tequila continues to reshape consumer habits. By emphasizing a slow-sipping experience rather than traditional consumption methods, the brand aims to position its Añejo as a versatile alternative for classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned. The expression is currently rolling out to select national retailers, restaurants, and the brand's digital storefront.
