The project in the Al Nakheel district features a 25-story residential tower with 129 luxury units and a 16-story structure housing the 101-room Nobu Hotel and 62 private residences. To safeguard these structures, engineers integrated the Penetron system throughout the concrete foundation and wall assemblies. The application utilized 8,000 cubic meters of concrete treated with PENETRON ADMIX, a crystalline admixture designed to reduce permeability at the molecular level.
Beyond the primary mix, the construction team deployed PENEBAR SW-45 waterstops at construction joints to create an active barrier against moisture. For exposed retaining wall surfaces and localized repairs, crews applied topical PENETRON crystalline material and PENECRETE MORTAR to seal cracks and penetrations. Sam Annous, Managing Director of Penetron Saudi Arabia, noted that the rapid deployment of these materials was critical to meeting the project's performance requirements and maintaining the developer’s high standards for long-term structural durability.
