Institute for Professionals in Taxation Names 2026-2027 Leadership

Under the backdrop of its 50th annual gathering in Honolulu, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation has appointed a new slate of officers and governors to steer the organization. The transition follows the group's golden anniversary, marking a shift in governance for the 7,000-member nonprofit association.

Jeffrey S. McGhehey of The Home Depot assumes the role of president for the 2026–2027 term. He is joined by Jan A. Nash of Tyson Foods, Inc., serving as first vice president, and Joshua E. Estes of Estes & Banks, PC, as second vice president. The organization also expanded its Board of Governors, electing Sandra J. Jacobs of KPMG LLP, J. Kieran Jennings of Siegel Jennings Co., L.P.A., and Joshua Sigmon of Compass Group USA to three-year terms.

Executive Director Chris G. Muntifering noted that the incoming leadership will prioritize member engagement and the refinement of educational programs. These appointments complement the existing board, which includes Montgomery E. Brantley, Rodney L. Cole, Kristina Friedman, Martin Guenther, Minah C. Hall, and Melissa J-L Myers. Founded in 1976, the institute continues to oversee standards for property, sales, and state income tax administration across North America.
