The couple identified Durham as an underserved area for pet-focused retail and intend to operate the store as a neighborhood hub, collaborating with local rescue organizations for adoption events and fundraisers. The store will cater to owners of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and fish, providing expert guidance on natural and holistic pet nutrition.

To mark the launch, the Corpes are hosting a weekend-long grand opening celebration on August 15 and 16. The event will feature $5 nail trims, free self-wash services, and various promotions, including discounts on aquatic life and prize giveaways. Throughout the weekend, local rescues such as Charleys K9 Rescue, Pawfect Match Rescue, and Blazin' Trails Bottle Babies will bring adoptable animals to the site. The store will maintain regular hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays, with options for curbside pickup and same-day delivery.
