Long joins the Melville-based firm from General Dynamics Mission Systems, where he previously served as Vice President and Deputy General Manager for Space, Cyber, and Intelligence. His career includes leadership tenures at Northrop Grumman, Orbital ATK, and Orbital Sciences, providing him with extensive experience in managing multi-site engineering organizations for NASA and the Department of Defense. He holds degrees in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University and an MBA from Arizona State University.

CEO Jim Cannon highlighted Long's operational depth as a key factor in the appointment, noting that the company seeks to leverage his background to strengthen its position as a single-source provider for mission-critical components.
