The new RiNo district site features three dedicated private rooms where groups of up to six players can utilize haptic vests and motion sensors for a fully interactive experience. Guests engage in virtual simulations that allow for physical interaction, with the facility providing personalized highlight reels for patrons to share post-game. This expansion is operated by franchisee Scott Boren, who previously opened a Sandbox VR location in Virginia Beach last year.
CEO Steve Zhao noted that the Denver launch reflects a broader trend of shifting consumer demand toward high-end social entertainment. Since its 2016 inception, the company has scaled to over 85 locations across 12 countries. The firm recently surpassed $300 million in lifetime sales, bolstered by a portfolio that includes collaborations with Netflix and the Natural History Museum of London. The company remains backed by high-profile investors including Andreessen Horowitz and celebrities such as Kevin Durant and Justin Timberlake.
