The upcoming facility is designed to anchor the bank’s regional operations, replacing the current branch on Capitol Drive once construction finishes. The new site will feature expanded drive-thru lanes, 24-hour access, and dedicated suites for commercial, mortgage, and wealth management services. According to community president Wendy Percoski, the location was strategically chosen for its proximity to the city’s growing medical and professional corridors, ensuring reach into East Memphis, Cordova, Bartlett, and Collierville.
Beyond traditional retail banking, the institution operates as a Community Development Financial Institution. Shelby County Chairman Mike Edwards emphasized that the bank’s mission prioritizes local investment, ranging from school sponsorships to small business credit access. Vice Mayor Mary Anne Gibson noted that the city anticipates the bank’s long-term civic engagement, mirroring its established reputation in other Tennessee municipalities. The project represents a significant expansion for the parent organization, Decatur County Bank, which has maintained operations in the region since 1899.
