The hardware reached orbit during the SpaceX CRS-30 resupply mission and now resides in the station’s Unity and Harmony modules. These units replace aging 802.11n infrastructure, providing a modern wireless backbone managed by the cnMaestro X system. This upgrade supports up to 12 crew members and a dense array of tablets, laptops, and IoT robotics that drift through the modules daily.

NASA subjected the equipment to exhaustive radiation and heavy-ion exposure assessments to ensure operational integrity in the vacuum of space.
