Griffin Fluid Management Spins Off Specialized Data Center Flushing Unit

As data center construction surges across North America, Houston-based Griffin Fluid Management is carving out a new dedicated division, HydroFlush LLC. The subsidiary will focus exclusively on mechanical flushing and system commissioning, aiming to mitigate startup risks for complex, mission-critical piping infrastructure nationwide.

The new venture leverages Griffin’s nine-decade history in fluid management to address a specific bottleneck in facility construction: the need for precise, high-speed preparation of mechanical systems. By deploying purpose-built equipment and specialized personnel, HydroFlush intends to help general contractors and commissioning teams keep aggressive project timelines on track while ensuring long-term system reliability.

Darren Medlock, a veteran of the industrial fluid management sector, has been tapped to lead the division as President. He will oversee the transition of these specialized services into a standalone unit that operates with the backing of Griffin’s 18-location national footprint. Stuart Porter, CEO of Griffin Fluid Management, noted that the move reflects a shift toward becoming a more integrated partner for owners and engineers, rather than a traditional service provider. The division is currently positioning itself to handle the increased technical demands of modern, high-density computing environments where piping integrity is paramount.
