PAL Aerospace Secures C$750 Million Deal for RCAF Training

A C$750 million contract has been awarded to PAL Aerospace, a subsidiary of Exchange Income Corp., to overhaul aircrew training for the Royal Canadian Air Force. The agreement tasks the company with modifying the CT-142Q Citadel fleet and providing long-term support for pilots and combat systems officers.

PAL Aerospace Secures C$750 Million Deal for RCAF Training

The deal comes through SkyAlyne, a joint venture between CAE and KF Aerospace that secured the federal mandate for the future aircrew training program in May 2024. This initiative aims to modernize how the Canadian military prepares personnel for airborne electronic sensor operations and complex combat systems.

Beyond technical modifications to the Citadel aircraft, PAL Aerospace will deliver Wings Standard training to all program participants. The company is also responsible for the ongoing in-service support required to maintain the fleet's operational readiness. Teams are currently shifting focus toward establishing initial operating capabilities to ensure a seamless transition from legacy training systems.
