Catalight Academy Launches Parent Education for Neurodiverse Care

After a child receives an autism diagnosis, parents often face a daunting question: What comes next? To bridge the gap between diagnosis and support, the digital platform Catalight Academy has introduced five self-paced online courses designed to provide caregivers with immediate, evidence-based strategies for managing daily development and behavior.

The curriculum addresses critical needs for families navigating long waitlists and limited access to professional clinicians. By translating complex behavioral health concepts into step-by-step instructions, the program aims to empower parents of children with autism and ADHD. Brianna Fitchett, vice president of clinical impact at Catalight, notes that these resources are designed to bolster caregiver confidence, allowing families to improve a child's wellbeing within their own home environment.

Cher Ware, director of learner experience, describes the initiative as an effort to equip parents with a practical toolbox for real-life situations. The course offerings range from foundational knowledge—such as understanding autism and navigating service systems—to specific ABA-based techniques for teaching communication, independence, and safety. These modules are priced between $15 and $50, with the "Understanding Autism" course currently offered for free using the code WELLBEING2026. Since its inception in early 2026, Catalight Academy has grown to support approximately 5,000 learners across 27 countries, with plans to expand its ADHD-specific content in the coming months.
