Los Angeles serves as more than just a host for this year’s event; it acts as a primary engine for the conference’s technical agenda. With creative industries driving over 15% of California’s employment, the local footprint at SIGGRAPH is expansive. Professionals from institutions including UCLA and USC, alongside major studios like Sony Pictures Imageworks, Netflix, and Electronic Arts, are leading workshops, panels, and research presentations that bridge the gap between academic theory and high-end production.

Conference Chair Chris Redmann noted that the event thrives on the city's unique ecosystem, which connects world-class research institutes with the entertainment industry’s most ambitious studios. Attendees can expect deep dives into production workflows—such as the scaling of generative AI for large-format venues like Sphere—and technical explorations of spatial storytelling, game engine physics, and advanced rendering. By integrating local expertise into sessions ranging from the Games Summit to the Technical Papers track, the conference highlights how Southern California continues to set the standard for the global computer graphics landscape.
